What's included in the subscription box?
We help answer the question “what’s for dinner?” We're not your usual "of the month box." We pack together a carefully curated box of recipes, sauces and spices to help you cook a dinner that’s less challenging to prepare and able to take you away from your routine.

South Indian Sampler... What's in a subscription box? Here’s an example of our September, 2012 subscription box, called the South Indian Sampler:
    • Maya Kaimal brand Madras Curry simmer sauce
    • Spicely brand Organic Garam Masala
    • Spicely brand Organic Cayenne
    • Cobra Corn Mumbai Masala spicy popcorn
    • Blue Lotus Chai (tea mix)
  • Recipes for Madras Curry, Garam Masala Rice with Vegetables, and Yogurt Raita
  • Regional Guide with the story behind the products and the food of South India

Our products are non-perishable, branded specialty food products that have been carefully selected and tested for quality.

Instead of culinary tourism, try a tour of cuisine!

How many people does it serve?
We design our kits to serve four. You may have spices leftover that you can use again with recipe ideas added to Recipes and More.

Do I need to buy groceries?
Yes, we believe in using the very best fresh and non-perishable ingredients. Typically, this is fresh produce, meat or items you probably have in your pantry. We want members of our World Dinner Club to get value for their money and get products they won’t find in mainstream retail stores.

Who makes the products?
We choose an ever-changing mix of products and flavors, selected from the best emerging and renowned brands in international cuisine. We read everything, visit special trade shows, food trucks and culinary incubators to find great producers. Not ordinary monthly food club, these include many not well known companies. Many have won awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade and impressed us with the quality of their products.

How long will it take to cook this meal?
This varies by meal, but our goal is to have you spend less than one hour to prepare a meal (except for when the recipe calls for marinating time).  We want to make it easy and fun to cook at home. For example, in a customer survey, we found that people took 45-50 minutes to cook the September 2012 South Indian Sampler. So much for Indian food being time consuming!

Do I need to know how to cook?
These meals are perfect for anyone from novices who want to prepare something simple to experts who want something special without investing several hours of their time. We make sure we provide easy cooking recipes, with prep tips and strategies to get you to the table faster to enjoy your dinner party or special family meal.

Can I view the recipes on my tablet or phone while I cook?
Our website is tablet and smartphone accessible.  Feel free to use those over the recipe cards if that's easier for you. Please search for old recipes using the search function on the bottom right of any page on our site.
